My Personal Story
I first came to Alaska in 1968. I was a military brat. My dad was stationed at the Naval base on Kodiak island. Some of my favorite childhood memories are from growing up there.
I left Alaska, served in the military, finished my undergraduate degrees and returned to the The Forget Me Not state nearly 40 years ago.
My wife and I have six children, 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
I worked as a teacher and principal for 30 years in rural Alaska before working in the mining industry for the last 8 years.
During our time in Alaska we have lived in Adak, Anchorage, and Angoon and have children living in Anchorage, Angoon, Juneau, Wasilla, and Oregon.
We hike, camp, fish, hunt, and have many other hobbies. You will see us all out and about in our beautiful state! We all love Alaska! I am running because I want to do my part to support and protect this great state for my children/grandchildren and for yours.
